Health and Safety

A positive approach to health, safety and quality, and the mitigation of risk, is central to the way we operate.

Everyone in the organisation receives training as soon as they join the company. This training is reinforced throughout their career, whether they are front line staff or managers and administrators.

The Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality Manager ensures that a positive safety culture is maintained through:

  • The employment inductions for all engineers
  • Inductions on the company’s policies and procedures on the first day of employment
  • Training for all staff to a level appropriate to their role or higher
  • Specific training for contracts
  • Ongoing reinforcement and refresher training through tool box talks and safety bulletins
  • Specialist support available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
  • Regular monitoring and inspections
  • Procedures for sub-contractors
  • Use of Key Performance Indicators to monitor accident

All our engineers have CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) skill cards and all relevant safety equipment qualifications such as IPAF (International Powered Access Federation) and PASMA (Prefabricated Access Supplies & Manufacturers Association).

Other safeguards include our Site Safety Manual which applies to all site-based labour. The manual provides the engineers with our Health & Safety policy and procedures together with our hazard identification system which enables them to make each risk assessment specific to the site they are working on.

We also have a Safety Management System for our office-based staff. This provides every employee with a standard system of safety management to ensure consistency and quality in the way we manage our Health & Safety obligations.

To Prove our commitment to Health and Safety we are registered and Accredited with the following organisations
